My inspiration for this image was the text 'A narrow but magical door, suspended for certainties, opened a passage to a garden. Or was it a beach? Whatever. As I said, the door was magical.' translated from 'Vertigo' by Lula Freire.

I have gathered elements from many different places to create this magical scene: the door from Glasgow, Scotland, the wall and doorway from Yorkshire, England, the lizard from Thailand, the landscape from New Zealand and the birds from the Isle of Bute, Scotland.
